Our 100hp Suzuki boat is fully equipped for sport fishing and available for hire by the hour or day. Just a kilometer offshore, you can chase big game fish. We follow catch-and-release rules for billfish and giant trevally, but you’re welcome to catch and enjoy fresh fish for dinner.

Kai Banda, perched above the creek on a sand dune, is embraced by twisting açaía trees. From its tall windows, enjoy views of the beach, mangroves, and sunset on silver waters. Spacious and airy, it features an upstairs loft with a king bed, a downstairs twin room, and open living spaces with sofas, dining areas, a swing bed and bar. Accommodating up to four singles and a double, it’s wind-sheltered, with fans, mosquito nets, solar power, and a sun-heated shower.

Accommodation
Our accommodation is uniquely sustainable, handcrafted from upcycled local materials, and designed to protect the environment and support the island community. Kasa, Kai, Top, and Loft Bandas are spacious, private, and climate-appropriate. They can be booked individually or as a group. While we offer both self-catered and full-board stays, currently only full-board is advertised here. Each banda provides a comfortable sanctuary in nature, with king-sized beds, expansive mosquito nets, and solar-powered lighting.

How to Get Here
Fly into Manda Airport, Lamu. We will transfer you to Kiwayu via a 1.5-hour speedboat ride through islands and mangrove creeks, passing Swahili Arabic towns. The transfer costs $300 each way, accommodating up to 6 passengers (8 if children) and luggage. Canopy shade, cushions, life jackets, and drinks are provided.........Getting to Kiunga Marine Reserve Kai house is within the Kiunga… Marine reserve fees apply and are an extra international geusts can be paid on ecitizen.
